SMALL BEER is brewed entirely in their brewery in South Bermondsey.
In 2017 they built the world’s first brewery dedicated to crafting mid-strength beers. Exclusively brewing between 2.0-2.8% ABV, they craft full-bodied, flavour-led beer designed for a modern drinker. The recipes were developed by their co-founder Felix and their beers are now primarily brewed by their head brewer Ben.
Their bespoke brewing kit allows them to brew their beer to strength, which means that they don’t do anything to remove or lower the alcohol content that occurs during fermentation. Unlike other breweries, they don’t dilute or dealcoholise their beers, simply because they never compromise on flavour.
As many members will know, supporting local businesses is important to us, making it particularly fitting that Small Beer is represented by one of our own members. Their beers have recently joined our drinks offering and have quickly become popular with those looking for a lighter option for long summer afternoons on the terrace.
